Our History
In 1989, Rob Braswell and Richard Flournoy acted on their entrepreneurial calling and founded Engineered Steel to provide quality steel for regional building projects. Rob and Richard created a culture focused on delivering best-in-class customer service and quality steel products, setting them apart in the industry. They built a reputation of being dependable and of following through to ensure that their customers were satisfied.
1998
Built New
25,000 SQ FT
Facility
Growth in the 1990s led to a move and to an expansion of facilities. In 1998, the current 25,000-square-foot facility was built on a 12-acre tract in Sophia, North Carolina. This new facility quickly filled with additional demand from loyal customers.
2014
Acquired by
New Page Capital
In late 2014, New Page Capital acquired the business and has since helped drive growth through sustaining and growing Engineered Steel's loyal customer base.

State of the art Peddinghaus drill line installed to increase production capabilities and speed

Stair & Rail Expansion
Stair & Rail division expansion built, increasing facility size to 35,000 sq ft.

Soitaab Plasma Table
Soitaab plasma table purchased to enhance in-house plate processing efficiency
